Detailed Product Description:
The Metal Division: metal fabrication takes place. The collars, base rings, mid sections and top and bottom shells are produced from coils of steel. The various processes include blanking, shearing, deep drawing, piercing, trimming and beading, embossing, rolling and forming. The formed parts are then conveyed into the Welding Division.
The Welding Division:
All parts are thoroughly degreased to ensure total welding integrity. In this division, the following welding processes take place: valve necks and collars to the top shells, base rings to the bottom shells and the long seams on the mid section. The top and bottom shells and the mid sections are preassembled and the circumferential seam welding takes place resulting in semi-finished cylinders. All welding is done automatically.
The Finishing Division:
Here, the cylinders receive their heat treatment, hydro-testing and shot-blasting before being painted with primer and baked. The top coat of paint is then applied. The cylinders are painted according to each customer`s requirement because each national market has its own standard color for the identification of LPG cylinders. After the top coat, the cylinders are baked again. Finally, the valve neck threads are cleaned and stamped with test date and tare weight, the valves inserted and leak test carried out. Cylinders are manufactured and tested according to Saudi Standards and any other international standards as required by each customer.
